FLEXIROAM is proud to be a sponsor for Malaysia’s World Scout Day 2013 which is held from 22nd to 24th August 2013 at Putrajaya. The event is organized by Malaysian Scouting Association (MSA) also known as Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia (PPM), a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).
The Malaysia’s World Scout Day aims to create a new generation of young leaders with great characters and to promote the image of Scouting in Malaysia and overseas. The event will also promote unity among the scout members regardless of race, religion and ethnicity. There will be approximately 10,000 scouts members gathered on that day. It is estimated that there are 50,000 scouts members in Malaysia and 31 million scout members worldwide.
“Once a scout always a scout, it is a great opportunity for us to promote FLEXIROAM to the scout community from all age group”, says Jef Ong, CEO of FLEXIROAM. This is the second corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of FLEXIROAM in the year, having sponsoring 1Malaysia World Edurance Ride (1MWER) to promote Global Movement of Moderates with 5 motorbikers breaking a World Record by traveling to 40 countries within 6 months.
During the event, FLEXIROAM will distribute RM 100,000 (USD 30,400) worth of credits to the Scout leaders at the VIP canopy. The event will be officially launch by Malaysia’s Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Hj. Abdul Razak.
