Statistics from visitbritain.org states that 85% of holiday visitors from Australia (excluding British expats) are ‘extremely’ likely to recommend Britain as a holiday destination and with good reason too. Bargain airfares and an improved exchange rate has made the UK Australians’ unlikely budget travel destination.
Previously known as a “premium” holiday destination due to the pound’s unwavering hold and hefty costs of arriving there, quite a bit has changed in the last 12-months as a result of Brexit and international airfare war that persists.

Wilton’s Music Hall, Whitechapel which hits all the right notes on both style and substance. Be transported to a whole new world with its Victorian house-fronts and old gas lamps. LAKE DISTRICT, ENGLAND
This place is a slice of heaven. You’d want to pay Rydal Mount a visit, it’s where William Wordsworth properly laid his hat, in the postcard-perfect village of Ambleside. Bottoms up at The Lakes Distillery as this gin, vodka and whiskey experts pay homage to these well-loved drinks with local produce. With tastes and touring running daily, this new kid on the block (started in 2014) is on the fast lane to becoming Cumbria’s finest. A fortitude that is rich in history, Edinburgh Castle towers over the city with a rock as its foundation due to millennia of glacial erosion. This guided tour is a fantastic way to discover the best of this complex of buildings and the stories of monarchs, sieges, and battles. A gun salute booms out from the castle across the capital every day at 1 pm. Be in awe with the panoramic view of the gorgeous city down to the sea.
If you like to mix history and art, we’d highly recommend the Scottish National Gallery, one of Edinburgh’s many wonderful (and free) spots that house masterpieces from all around the world.
