“Can I use any prepaid SIM card with Flexiroam when I am overseas?“
By default, Flexiroam is designed to work with all overseas GSM SIM cards. But since not all overseas mobile operators allow you to send SMS to every international number, it is imperative that you (Flexiroam user) know which Flexiroam gateway number is best for your chosen overseas SIM card.
As part of the steps in activating your overseas SIM card to receive your Malaysia SIM calls, Flexiroam users are required to send the SMS “ROAM <PIN No.>” to our gateway number (thus either +61429300916 or +447781470027) once users insert their new overseas SIM card into their phone. NB: Failure to send “ROAM <PIN No.>” SMS to Flexiroam gateway will make it impossible for Flexiroam system to know which particular overseas number it should send your Malaysian SIM card calls to.
There are two (2) main Flexiroam gateway numbers: +61429300916 or +447781470027, where you can use to communicate with Flexiroam.
