If your current network provider is not in the list provided, you can proceed with your eSIM activation here

Changing from SIM card to eSIM

If you are using an existing SIM card you need to swap it with eSIM, here are the steps.

Hit the Settings on your iPhone

      Tap General > About

Scroll down till you see Digital SIM

Write down your iPhone’s IMEI number

Ask your carrier to send an eSIM QR code to your email address (the process may vary accordingly to your network provider)

Now it is time to activate your eSIM

At this point, you should just mention that you want to change from a physical SIM card to eSIM and have everything else remain the same. When asked, provide your iPhone’s IMEI number to the agent.

Once the Digital SIM IMEI number is accepted, a new iPhone SIM Card Number (ICCID) will be generated for your eSIM services. Provide the agent with an email address so the QR code can be emailed to you. Access that email and turn your iPhone on, go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan.

All that’s left is to SCAN the QR code with your iPhone’s back camera and it should request to add a cellular plan, click on it. The process should take 15-20 minutes to complete. Remember to select your new eSIM plan as your primary line, as the idea is to remove it.

Removing the physical SIM card

You can label your new eSIM line as “Primary”, then save the changes. Next, remove your physical SIM card (with the phone still turned on). Then follow the previous steps, Settings > Cellular and tap on the old SIM card and select Remove Cellular Plan. If the old number is not listed there, that’s fine as well.

Test your eSIM connectivity

Start by toggling off your WiFi so your eSIM will be tested. You can send a text or ask someone to send you a text or try calling someone. Voila! You’re done.
