With Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem as the main actors, this movie drives you directly to some beautiful countries like: Italy, India or Indonesia.  Elizabeth Gilbert  (Julia Roberts) was not really happy with her life, she realized how unhappy her marriage was so she got a divorced and decided to take a different life route, to spend her time travelling the world eating, praying and enjoying life through different cultures and countries.

So, if you want the feeling of being in different countries experiencing other cultures, this is the movie for you!

If you are an adventurous backpacker, and you love tropical beaches and white sand, then you definitely don’t want to miss this one.Richard (Leonardo DicaPrio) is a young American backpacker who decided to go to Thailand to start an adventure.

When he arrives to Bangkok, he meets some people who convince him to travel to an island in Gulf of Thailand which is forbidden and uninhabited and that’s just the beginning of the adventure. It’s a roller-coaster film that will really get you wondering about all the possibilities of exotic scenery after watching it. You would definitely love to visit this little paradise: Phi Phi Island.

127 Hours

Movies 4If you really like risk, adrenaline and extreme sports this is the perfect movie for you. Aron Ralston’s is an adventurous mountain climber. One day, he decides to go on an adventure trekking alone through Blue John Canyon without telling anyone where he plans to go.

As the movie progresses, we watch him travel through beautiful mountains and canyons right up until he falls while on a boulder he walks on loses its position and drops down along with him trapping his arm against a canyon wall.He tries endlessly to pull out his wedged hand  to move the boulder but finds that he is unsuccessful every time. He spends the next 127 hours (more than 5 days) with limited rations and a fight for survival.

It’s guaranteed that you will be hooked until the end.

Vicky, Cristina, BarcelonaMovies 5If you are a European and Mediterranean lover, and you really love Woody’s Allen directing style then this movie is perfect for you. Two young American women, Vicky and Cristina come to Barcelona for a summer holiday.  Both are extremely different. Vicky is sensible; Cristina is spontaneous and insecure.

One night, at an art show, they meet Juan Antonio, a sexy painter who is said to have endured violence from his passionate ex-wife. This is definitely a funny and lovely Woody Allen film that will make you follow the story till the end.

What a lovely movie, especially if your dream is to visit Italy (The Tuscan) with its beautiful landscapes and culture. So, would you really want to know how travel can open you up to new experiences? If yes,then this movie is a must watch.

Frances Mayes (Diana Lane) is a 35 years old who lives in San Francisco whose perfect life has definitely reached a hault.  Her recent divorce has caused a deep depression with the unfortunate side-effect of writer’s block. Patti (Sandra Oh), her best friend, begins to worry and decides to give her a ten day stay in the beautiful Tuscany (Italy) home. Once there, Frances becomes infatuated with a villa named “Bramasole” (“craving the sun”) and decides to buy it. The house needs many reforms but Frances is willing to undertake them.

This is an absolutely romantic choice that will allow you to soak up the Mediterranean culture.
